Joseph Price Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Oak Lawn Funeral Home-Cremation Center and Memorial Cemetery on Dec. 9, 2025.
Joseph Price, a devoted husband, proud father, cherished "Pop,"

and man of unwavering work ethic, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2025.

He poured his heart into everything he did-especially into the sporting

communities he served. From local rec league fields to the high school

baseball diamond, his hands, time, and passion helped shape countless

seasons and memories. He loved sports, especially cheering on the

Tennessee Volunteers, but even more he loved the kids he coached,

the coworkers who became lifelong friends, and those he quietly

helped whenever he saw a need.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Horace and Janie Price of Hackleburg, AL and Maternal grandparents John Dell and T'Willie Emerson of Muscle Shoals, AL, and his younger brother, Jason Price of Sparta, TN.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy Price; his children

Kyle (Leah) Price of Chattanooga, TN, and Kelly (Lee) Sneller of Tuscaloosa, AL;

and his greatest joys-the ones who made him "Pop": Ava Price, Riven Sneller,

and Remi Sneller.

Born the eldest of 4 sons of JC and Nancy Price, Joe embraced the role

of big brother wholeheartedly. He is survived by his brothers Jamie (Amy) Price

of Mocksville, NC, and Joshua (Taylor) Price of Greenville, SC, and remembered

with love by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins from Michigan to Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

Joseph's legacy is one of love, loyalty, service, and hard work.

He leaves behind fields he cared for, generations he influenced,

and a family and community forever grateful for the way he lived his life.

He will forever be missed.

Celebration of life will be held in the chapel of Oaklawn Funeral Home in Sparta, TN Thursday December 11, 2025 from 2pm - 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made

in his honor to the White County High School Baseball Booster Club.

"Oh sweet darling, you get the best of my love." - The Eagles

"And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love.

But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13
