Joseph Pugliano Jr., 67 passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 18, 2023.
Son of the late Joseph and Bertha Pugliano; Father of Gina McKernan and Krista (Andrew) McLachlan; Grandfather of Teagan, Elliot, Locryn, Benjamin and Elowen; Brother of Rob (Amy) Pugliano and Roger (Laurie) Pugliano.
Joe grew up in Uniontown, PA where he graduated from Laurel Highlands High School in 1973. After achieving his Economics degree from Penn State University in 1977, Joe held numerous positions across the country, spending most of that time at the Community College of Allegheny County where he retired from in 2021.
An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, Joe never missed a Steelers, Pirates or Nittany Lions game on the tv. Joe loved dogs, especially rescues. He made many trips to the Caribbean and always returned with an incredible tan. He was proud to be an Italian American and even prouder of his girls and grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4-8pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A Blessing service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the funeral home at 10 am. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Joe's honor.
