Dear Uncle Moe,
There isn´t a day that goes by that I don´t think about you. You were more than an uncle - you were a legend in every sense of the word. The kind of man whose presence filled a room, whose laughter could lift a heavy heart, and whose love was steady, strong, and unforgettable.
I find myself remembering the stories, the lessons, the moments we shared - big ones and small ones - and I realize how much of who I am today comes from the example you set. You taught us how to stand tall, how to look out for family, and how to live life with heart.
Rest easy, Uncle Moe. Your spirit is still here with us, in every memory and every story we tell. You were loved deeply, and you are missed beyond words.

Now was one of the first people I met in AA. He won a book in a drawing and said to me "here you´re a newcomer this is for you". I still have and use that book tattered and torn as it is. It is one of my most precious possessions.

Over 30 years ago I met Mo. Sensing my fear and reluctance to participate, he suggested that I could be the "assistant" coffee-maker of a very large meeting. He had a gift of knowing how to talk to people, particularly those in early recovery. I think many may remember that it could be because of the "sober tongue" that he said he aquired ;)
I'll always remember his humor, be thankful of his generosity and try to live up to his example of how to live sober.

My deepest sympathy to Moe´s family and friends.
Moe was such a special man. I met him when I first came into recovery, and he lit up the room for me the moment he walked in. There was just something about his spirit - warm, gentle, steady - that made you feel safe. I loved teasing him just to see that big smile, and I never missed my chance to get one of his hugs. Those hugs... they were pure comfort.
I will miss him so much.
But I´m deeply grateful I had the blessing of knowing him.
Whenever I think of Moe, my heart will warm, and his spirit will always bring a smile to my face.

"Mo" was a legend in recovery circles and helped hundreds of people over many years. He had a talent for recalling the names of people he met and making them feel safe and welcome. He will be a power of example for a very long time.
