Joseph L. Sabo

Joseph L. Sabo 70 of Lancaster, Ohio formerly of Baltimore, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 27, 1952 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late John L. and Geraldine (Kitzmiller) Sabo. He was a worked as a security guard for Securitas Security Systems and Top Cat Concrete as a cement truck operator. Joseph was in the Ohio National Guard where he was called up during the Blizzard of 1978.
Joseph was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, sang in the Damascus and Countrymen Group. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and lived life. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's sporting events, watching NASCAR where he was held in high esteem by his children.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jillinda; children, Joe (Mary) Sabo, II of Lancaster, Ohio, Joshua Sabo of Newark, Ohio, Jeneal Sabo and husband Chad Wilmes of Hilliard, Ohio and Jacob (Brandy) Sabo of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sabo, Zachary Sabo, Laura Sabo and Brynlee Sabo; sisters, Cynthia E. Sabo and her husband Emmett Luckett of Newark, Ohio and Liz G. (Larry) Sanders of Millersport, Ohio; aunt, Carol Kitzmiller of Millersport, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Terah Jo Sabo, parents, brothers, John Sabo and Sam Sabo and his wife, Carolyn and niece Michelle Sabo, and his uncle Tim Kitzmiller.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Dean Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
