Joseph Samay

Joe Samay of Lower Burrell, PA passed away peacefully at home at the age of 84, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born August 26, 1939 in Tarentum, PA and was the beloved husband of the late Anita Samay; cherished son of the late Frank and Mary Samaj; brother of the late Frank and Mary Samaj(Adams); treasured uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He is survived by his son Jeffrey Samay and grandchildren Addison and Mackenzie.

Joe, a proud veteran, lived a life marked by service, love, and dedication to his family and community. He worked for over 30 years at Allegheny Ludlum Steel and was a devoted member of his church. He loved doing crossword puzzles in the paper, watching Jeopardy and was an avid reader. His warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be remembered for his humor, compassion, and unwavering spirit.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held privately in accordance with his wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.,
