Joseph Edward "Eddie" Scellato

 Joseph Edward “Eddie” Scellato, 61, of Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

 Eddie was born in Norfolk, VA on July 11, 1963, and was the son of the late Joseph Everett Scellato and Carole Anne Stagg Dail. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Scellato.

 Employed in commercial construction for many years, he attended Fountain of Life Church and loved fishing.

 Surviving is his wife, Kimberly Robbins Scellato; two sons, Logan Edward Scellato of Virginia Beach, VA and John Wesley Scellato of Elizabeth City; a granddaughter, Madelyn Scellato of Virginia Beach; his stepfather, Preston Dail of Tyner; two brothers, Joseph “Joe” Scellato of Hertford and Gary Scellato of Manassas, VA; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

 A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the service on Thursday.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical and other related expenses.
