Joseph Warren, 89, of Paramus, NJ, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. Born in Hoboken, NJ, to Joseph and Mary Schiffino. Joe lived a full and wonderful life. He married the love of his life Dorothy, and together they raised their two daughters Marianne and Suzanne in River Vale, NJ. They retired to New Bern, North Carolina where they enjoyed great friendships, their boat "Mom's Bunch" and giving their four granddaughters the best summer vacations. Joe was a proud Air Force Veteran of WWII as well as a Purple Heart recipient and thought of his flight crew as brothers. He loved his wife and family, good conversation over drinks, and a good round of golf. Joe worked for Furnas Electric from which he retired as a District Manager. He was a long-time member of Rotary International and belonged to the 73rd Bomb Wing Association. Devoted husband of the late Dorothy A. Schiffino; loving father of Marianne Siccardi and her husband Frank and Suzanne DelVecchio and her late husband Lenny; and cherished grandfather of Michelle Siccardi (pumpkin #1), Jennifer DelVecchio (pumpkin #2), Amanda Palmentieri (Pumpkin #3) and her husband Adam, and Joanna DelVecchio (pumpkin #4). The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, February 18, from 3-6 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy, Park Ridge, NJ, on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
