Joseph Searing Obituary
He was born March 26, 1967, in La Porte, to Joseph James Searing Sr. and Darlene (Weirich) Mounts.
On October 14, 2000, in New Carlisle, he married Patti (Grayckowski Eaton) Searing who survives.
Joe was a US Army veteran. He had a love for brain teasers, especially Rubik's Cubes and Sudoku. He also enjoyed firearms, fishing, and watching the news. Playing chess, Jenga and Scrabble with family and friends is something he really loved to do. Joe had a deep love for Father God and would share the love of Jesus every chance he got.
He is survived by his wife Patti; his mother, Darlene; children, Dustin and Michael Searing; step-children, Sarah (Ken McGowan) Konewko, and Frank (Marisa) Eaton; siblings, Jeff (Kathy) Searing, Shelley Swanson, Jay (Chris) Searing, Ryan (Nichole) Mounts; grandchildren, Chanstin, and Rarity: several nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph James Searing Sr.
Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements. A memorial service/celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
