Joseph Senic, Jr, age 91 of Baptist Valley, VA, departed this temporal life and entered into his eternal home on January 22, 2025, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richland, VA. Born on July 4, 1933, in War, WV, he was the son of the late Joseph Senic, Sr. and Mable Tennessee Marrs Senic. Joseph loved and lived his life to the fullest and his greatest love was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Coming in a close second was his wife of 69 years, Crystal (Chris) Senic. Joe also loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, personal and church family and friends. He enjoyed attending church, his alone time Bible Study and being a life coach at every opportunity he was given. Joe had a variety of hobbies to include hunting, fishing, gardening, and yard work. A proud Army veteran, Joe possessed a great love of country and he served in the Korean War. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Crystal Senic of Cedar Bluff, VA; son Danny Senic and wife Connie of Kernersville, NC; daughter, Donna Whaley and husband Lon of Oneida, TN; sister-in-law, Patty Whitt of Ararat, VA. Three grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wade Quesenberry officiating. Military graveside rites performed by Barns Beavers VFW Post #7136 and the National Guard Honor Guard and the committal will follow the funeral service.
