Joseph Simon Jr

Joseph was born in New Orleans, LA on June 26, 1954, to the late Joseph Simon Sr, and the late Willie Mae Armant Simon. He's the fourth child of seven children. Joseph was known as a loving, caring person. His favorite past time was playing the lottery and scratch off games. Being with his family was very important to him. Joseph was very smart in school and loved to write poetry. He would sit outside daily and tell the funniest stories while sitting on the porch with his legs crossed like his dad Joe Simon. He was a true character. His parents cared for him throughout his adult years until their deaths. His siblings stepped up and provided that same unconditional love and care for their brother. They never refused him or pushed him away. He was loved dearly by his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He is especially missed by his siblings. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Simon Sr, his mother, Willie Mae Armant Simon and brother, Alvin Simon. He leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters, Melba Simon Smith (Andrew), Patricia Parker, Bronson Simon-Lee, Belinda Harrison, his brothers, Michael Simon Sr (Charlene), and Reginald Simon, his aunts, Barbara Armant, Velma Florence, and Oralee Borne, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.
Family and Friends of the family are all invited to his Celebration of Life service on Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip St, New Orleans, LA 70116. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM, with mass to follow at 10:00AM. Interment: St. Philip Catholic Cemetery, Vacherie, LA. Fr. Ajani Gibson, officiating.
