Joseph R. Simon, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7th, 2025.

Joe was a loving father, grandfather, athlete and most importantly, a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. He will always be remembered for his mild temperament, deep devotion to his family, and his love for lottery tickets.

Joe was born in Kennett, Missouri on February 18th, 1943. He had a love for Pepsi, always keeping one nearby. In his later years, Joe enjoyed taking road trips with his grandchildren, exploring Wisconsin and creating lasting memories together. Though a man of few words, Joe was a man of routine who lived each day simply and with purpose. He enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching sports, or binge-watching Jerry Springer.

A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Joe's passion for the team spanned three generations. He loved visiting his friends at Kaz's bar and playing "Picture" by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock on the jukebox. Joe also had a lifelong passion for the lottery, winning a considerable amount of money in the late 1990's, and continued to play throughout his life. His advice for winning the lottery? "You want to win? You gotta play."

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gertrude Simon; his beloved son, Joseph H. Simon; his grandson, Joseph T. Simon; his brothers, Bill Simon and Stan Simon; and his sister, Denise Simon. Joe is survived by his sisters, Jeanette Durham, Sharon Simon, and Georgene Simon-Sopko; his brother, Larry Simon; his daughters, Micki (Tom) Frick, Pat Simon, and Pam Simon; his granddaughters, Sarah (Tyler) Rodgers, Kay Simon, and Emily (Alec) Cloe; and his great-granddaughter, Mackenzie J. Rodgers. Joe was a proud Vietnam veteran and retired postal worker. He is now peacefully reunited with his beloved son and grandson.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services at this time.
