Joseph Smith Obituary

Visit the Infinity Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.

Joseph “Joe” Lovell Smith, a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, passed away on March 11, 2026. He was born on February 9, 1981, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Willie Earl Smith and Dorothy Smith.

Joe was known for his joyful spirit and lighthearted personality. He was goofy, loved to laugh, and was always smiling. He enjoyed joking around with his family and bringing humor into everyday moments. His laughter and playful nature made him someone people loved being around.

He was also known as a hard-working and resilient man who never gave up. Joe took pride in caring for those he loved. As a welder at Ingalls Shipbuilding, he dedicated himself to his trade and carried a strong work ethic wherever he went.

In his free time, Joe enjoyed fishing, grilling food, and spending time watching and betting on sports. He was especially a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Antonio Spurs. Whether he was casting a line in the water or standing over the grill cooking for family and friends, Joe enjoyed the simple moments that brought people together.

Above all, Joe loved spending time with his children. Being a father meant everything to him, and he cherished the time he shared with Joseph Smith, Arieal Smith, and Mya Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Willie Earl Smith; his beloved children, Joseph Smith, Arieal Smith, and Mya Smith; his sisters, Angela Smith, Carolyn Smith, and Shaddy; his brother, Benjamin Smith; and a host of extended family members and friends who will forever remember his humor, strength, and warm smile.

Joe’s life and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Infinity Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will start at 1:00 pm.
