Joseph Anthony Suders, 66, of Etters, PA, passed away on September 15, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center. He was born on February 2, 1959, in Altoona, PA, to the late Richard and Clementine (DeCarlo) Suders. He served his country in the United States Army from 1978 until 1997, followed by a long career with PEMA and FEMA as a Senior Emergency Management Specialist.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in nature. Joseph also enjoyed life's simple pleasures, his morning coffee, pasta and pizza nights, movie nights, and sharing laughter with family and friends. A devoted Pirates and Steelers fan, he was a storyteller with a knack for jokes and someone who loved hosting gatherings. He cherished country music and especially the time he spent traveling and sharing adventures with his beloved wife. Joseph was an outstanding man who put others before himself and carried out every responsibility with unwavering dedication, ensuring it was done with care and excellence beyond measure. Above all, he was a teacher, mentor, and family man whose greatest joy was the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Young "Sook" Suders; sons, Joseph Suders Jr., Michael Suders, and Aaron Suders; daughters, Crystal (Suders) McKendrick and Hana (Suders) Moyer; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his granddog, Juke; and his seven siblings: Richard Jr., Harry, Robert (Mary), David, Matthew, Tina Shay (Dave), and Lisa.
