Cathy Suders

Cathy L. (Mills) Suders, 65, of Fort Loudon, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at her home. Born December 2, 1958 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Betty Neff Mills.
From plucking mushrooms from a Washington state hillside to feeding deer in the meadows of Pennsylvania, Cathy's love of nature stretched wide. She recognized and praised her Creator by honoring and nurturing every animal: cats curled on her lap, birds feasting in trees, and every wild stray that meandered her way. Her kindness and compassion extended to her church family at Freedom Lighthouse Ministries in Fort Loudon. Her quiet manner and sweet smile belied a resilient and faith-filled spirit. She enjoyed setting things in order and cleaning and in this reflected her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who held Cathy together in all life's trials and now receives her into her heavenly mansion. She is, undoubtedly, now experiencing not only creation but the fullness of love from her Creator. Cathy's sweet presence will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, Denny Mills (wife Marian) of Fort Loudon, and several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Mills and Wanda Matthews; and her companion, Robert Suders.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor James Martin will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
