Joseph Switzer, of Lexington, left his earthly home on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Bluegrass Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 15, 1947 in Fayette County, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Lucille Reynolds Switzer, one of their seven children. Joseph was a hard-working farmer who lived in this area all his life. He leaves wonderful childhood memories with his sisters Linda Switzer and Mary Roser and his brother Robert Switzer. In addition to his parents, he will be rejoining his sisters Elizabeth Nicholson and Joann Blum, his brother David Switzer, and his longtime special companion Beverly Mack, all of whom preceded him in death. He will also be remembered fondly by Beverly’s daughter Sheila Johnson. His family chose cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.” Arrangements are under the care of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and we extend our deepest sympathy his Joseph’s family and friends.
