Joseph Arthur Thibault, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, Florida, on November 6, 2025. Born in Bradley, Maine, to Leon and Mary Thibault, Joseph proudly served in both the United States Air Force and the Spanish Air Force. His adventurous spirit and favorite saying, "Grab the bull by the horns," defined how he approached life-leading him to become a pilot and inspiring those around him to live boldly and fully. He was married to the love of his life, the late Maria Thibault, for 61 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Joseph loved flying, playing golf, and listening to his favorite music-country western, boogie-woogie, and anything with a good beat for his bongo drums. He also had a fondness for waffles, his wife's cooking, and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Thibault; grandchildren Andrea Barrett of Jacksonville, FL, Stoney Barrett (Courtney), and Sebastian Barrett; and great-grandchildren Ashlynn, Scarlett, Amelia, Juliette, Declan Arthur, Layla, Phoebe, and Haven. He is also survived by his sisters Irene Kahvari (Toraj), Ann Smith (the late Bud), and Norma Cavicchio (the late Cosmo). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Thibault, and his parents, Leon and Mary Thibault. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Jacksonville, with interment to follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4140 University Blvd. S., Jax. FL 32216, www.hewellfuneralhomes.com
