HALFMOON - Joseph H. Thibodeau, Jr., 88, of Vale Drive, died peacefully at his home, after a short illness. Joe was born on Green Island, N.Y. He was the son of the late Joseph H. Thibodeau Sr. and Pauline Stranahan.
Growing up on Green Island, Joe attended Heatly School. He was employed for over 40 years as a quality leader for the Bendix Corp. in Green Island, N.Y. Joe enjoy traveling, camping, fishing, and being with his family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Sheila Luce Thibodeau for 63 years.
Survivors include his children, Joseph H. Thibodeau (Deedee), of Cohoes, N.Y., Duane E. Thibodeau (Dawn) of Mechanicville, N.Y., and Danielle M. Thibodeau DeVoe (Ronald) of Halfmoon, N.Y. He is the grandfather to Stephen (Nicole) DeVoe and Connor DeVoe (Sara) of Clifton Park and Merrisa Thibodeau of Mechanicville, N.Y. Great-grandfather to Primula Rose DeVoe, Evelyn Aurora DeVoe, Riadan James Thibodeau and Selene Thibodeau.
Joe is also survived by his brother, Gerald (Sharon) Thibodeau of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Paul and Edward Thibodeau of Cohoes, Robert and Justine of Green Island, John Howard of Albany and lastly, Joyce Ann Kovalasky of Troy.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 1 p.m., at the Phillip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad Street, Waterford, N.Y.
Calling hours be held from 11 to 1 p.m., prior to the service.
