Joseph E. Tighe

Arlington - TIGHE, Joseph E., of Arlington, formerly of Dorchester (St. Peter's Parish) passed away on October 8, 2025.

Beloved husband of Catherine (Brennan) Tighe, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years. Devoted father of Michael Tighe and his wife Alison (Luisi) of Westport, CT; Maureen Tighe and her husband John Driscoll of Boston; John Tighe and his wife Marybeth (Calise) of Winchester; and Eileen (Tighe) and her husband Joe Cahill of Arlington.

Joe was the proud grandfather of Haley, Shane, Liam, and Chloe Tighe of Westport, CT; Charlie, Teddy, Henry, and Piper Tighe of Winchester; and Thomas, Kevin, Brendan, Mary Cate, and Emma Cahill of Arlington.

Dear brother of Thomas Tighe and his wife Mary (Donovan) of Quincy, MA and the late George Tighe of Bristol, VT.

Joe had a dedicated career with the United States Postal Service. He served as union representative for the NALC Branch 34 for the Belmont office and trustee for the Letter Carriers MBA for many years.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visiting hours will be held at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Arlington, on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 4-7 PM. Funeral from funeral home at 9 AM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Camillus Church, 1185 Concord Tpk., Arlington, on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 10:30 AM, followed by burial with Military Honors at St. Paul Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe's memory may be made to the American Red Cross or the St Camillus Church Bell Tower Fund.
