Joseph C Tiver Sr

Joseph C. Tiver, Sr. of Lumberton died Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mount Holly. He was 89.

Born in Moorestown, the son of Henry and Rose Tiver, Mr. Tiver was a longtime area resident. He was a retired Superintendent at Occidental Chemical and then retired from his "second career" as a bus driver for GST in Southampton.

Mr. Tiver was an avid Eagles fan and a season ticket holder for over 40 years. He was a member of the Mount Holly Elks, the VFW Auxiliary, and was a lifelong member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

The husband of the late Joan, he is survived by 4 children: Renee Frame and her husband Richard of Charlotte, NC, Joseph Jr. of Marlton, Denise Buffa and her husband William of Medford, and Steven of Shamong; 9 grandchildren: Justin, Andrea, Stephanie, Katie, Doug, Joseph III, Josh, Kristine, & Dylan; and 20 great-grandchildren. The brother of the late John, Harry, Tom, and Paul, he is survived by a sister Rose Anna Hewitt as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday morning from 9am – 10:30am at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Marne Highway, Hainesport. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
