Joey was born on March 29, 1954, in Middle Georgia. He was a dedicated small engine and airplane mechanic, a loving husband, and a proud father. His favorite role in life, though, was Papa. Known for his steady hands and sharp mind, Joey spent his life fixing what others couldn't-whether it was an engine or a hard day. He found joy in his work, pride in his family, and peace in the simple moments. Joey's quiet strength, generous spirit, and love for the outdoors will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph F Turk and sister Kathy.
Left to cherish Joey's memory are his wife, Janice Turk; children, Josh Turk, Jessica Duke, and William Duke; granddaughter, Kimber Duke; mother, Edna Kight; sister, Pam Woodard; brother-in-laws, Wayne Martin and Hayward Kight; and many loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210.
