Obituary of Joseph F. Van Cleave
Joseph F. VanCleave, age 32, of Coal City, Illinois passed from this life Saturday evening, March 15, 2025. Joe was born October 18, 1992, in Joliet, Illinois to Lucille "Sissy" (Coleman) and the late Eric Van Cleave.
Joe was a free spirit with a passion for art, whether it was simply drawing or getting out the paints, he found great joy in being creative. He also spent much of his time riding dirtbikes and go-carts. There was nothing Joe couldn't do, affectionately known as a "Jack of all trades."
Joe is the beloved son of Sissy and the late Eric Van Cleave; dearest brother of Britany (Zack) Jett; proud uncle of Eric, James and Coulter; fond nephew of William Floyd (Sandy) Van Cleave, Joseph Mark (the late Diane) Van Cleave, the late Debra Lynn (Matthew) Strainis, John Arthur (Mary Beth) Van Cleave, the late Ruth Ann (the late Robert) Springer, the late Karen (Randall) Littleton and Amy Jo (Toby) Umland. Several great aunts, great uncles and cousins also survive.
As it was Joe's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date by his family.
