Joseph Gary Van Dusen on May 7, 2025 of Bellmawr, NJ. Age 87.
Beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann (nee Paoletti). Devoted father of Michele Eggleston (Phil), Chris (Regina) and Tracy Dressel (Rob). Loving Grandpa of Jessica, Hannah, Devin, Jack, Zephyr and Griffin. Dear brother of the late Peggy, Jack, Don, and Sally. Loving companion of Marlyn Brady. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gary was a kind gentle goofy soul who always who always took a positive view on life and assumed the best of people. He loved long walks, spring flowers, silly jokes and songs, jigsaw puzzles, poetry and anything sweet - especially his own blackberry pie. Gary was a navy veteran, an avid golfer, enjoyed travel, and was a big fan of Notre Dame and Philadelphia sports teams.
Gary and Pat migrated from upstate New York down to Bellmawr, NJ in 1965 for work as a Technical Editor with RCA, and then a number of other companies over the years until he retired from Atlantic Science & Technology.
Gary and Pat raised their family in Bellmawr where they enjoyed many great times with family, friends and neighbors over the years. Later in life Gary reconnected with Marlyn, a friend from early school days in Watertown, and they enjoyed a long loving companionship and lots of traveling.
There will be a visitation on May 14, 2025, Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede. Memorial service 1pm at funeral home. Private cremation, no cemetery service.
