Joseph Edward Vaughn, age 58 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Saturday, June 28, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on June 10, 1967 the son of the late James Ernie and JoAnn (Gibson) Vaughn. Joe had been a carpenter and was a member of the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. Being outdoors where he could hunt and fish were his favorite past times.
Ini addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Arnold Ray Watson; grandparents, Joe and Edna Gibson; brothers, Brian Gibson, Jimmy Vaughn, and Ernie Vaughn; and a best friend, Dag Terry.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Watters) Vaughn of Whitley City, Kentucky; sons, Joseph Lee Vaughn (Jerrica) of Lexington, Kentucky and Brandon Watters of Whitley City, Kentucky; aunt, Linda Noe; Robert Gibson, who was like a son; Tom, Tim, Rodney, Andy, Davis, Roy, Billy, Bruce, Timmy, and Carol who were like brothers; nephew, James Vaughn; and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3pm Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Hilton Duncan and Bro. Matt Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Corder Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
