Joseph "Joe" Vincent passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, after a brief illness. Born July 17, 1943, in Boston, Joe was the son of the late Joseph J Vincent and Juliette (Marcotte) Vincent.

Joe was a member of Local 2168, Dorchester, for over 30 years before retiring in 2006. He was married to Meredith "Meri" his loving and devoted wife for 43 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. They traveled extensively, exploring destinations abroad visiting many countries including, Italy, Greece, Norway, and Germany to name a few. One of their adventures led them to Paris, where they celebrated Meri's 50th birthday. Joe was outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid fisherman; a sport he loved sharing with his dear friend Tom Larkin. For many years Father's Day was celebrated with a chartered fishing trip with sons Keven and Joey. With a little help and guidance from his good friend Bob Leighton, Joe loved planting and nurturing his vegetable garden. Sharing the "fruits of his labor" with family and friends. Joe was really in his glory when he was in the kitchen cooking amazing dishes for Meri and the family. Other favorite past times included rooting for the New England Patriots and watching classic old movies with Meri by his side.

Joe is survived by his four children, Joseph "Joey" of Taunton, Scott (Sarah) of Georgia, Lisa Partridge (Russell) of Texas and Kevin Phelps of Weymouth. His 2 sisters Constance "Connie" Scanlon and Marie (Michael) McKenna. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Susan Purtle of Abington and his brother-in-law, Robert Purtle (Denise) of Bridgewater. Joe leaves 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Frances Vincent and his brother William.

Joe was a communicant of Saint Bridget's church Abington. He was a beloved husband, father, Grandpa, uncle and friend. Joe was the person you could always count on to lend a helping hand.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Sunday Sept 28 from 2:00-5:00pm, Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St Whitman.
