Joseph Wawzynski, 84 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Wedgwood Gardens in Freehold, New Jersey.

Born Saturday, March 8, 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Joseph was the son of the late Felix and Agnes Wawzynski.

Joseph was born and raised in Jersey City. As soon as he could, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany, and he served proudly. He would earn an Honorable discharge and move back home proudly to Jersey City. There he would meet Louise Galgano. Joseph and Louise married and would have a daughter. Together they raised Jodie Ann in Jersey City. When Louise passed, Joseph continued living in Jersey City. He worked for both Colgate and Westinghouse but found his passion as a computer technician with Micro Exchange in Nutley. After retiring Joseph settled in Toms River where he enjoyed many years. He led a very active life and enjoyed trips to the shore, Atlantic City, bowling and dining out.

Joseph was a talented musician. He sang, played guitar and keyboard and was a member of the two man band named The Classic Touch. As the life of the party, Joseph enjoyed entertaining, and was quick to tell a good joke. Joseph was very proud of his family, he would never shy away from telling them and everyone how he felt, and giving encouragement whenever he could. Joseph was a caring and loving man who will be deeply missed by all those that were blessed to have him in their lives.

Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife Louise, by his parents, Felix and Agnes, and by his siblings, Felix, Irene Pennise-Dunleavy, and Charlotte Brinkerhoff.
