Joseph C. Zakrzewski, age 87, of Farmington, passed away June 11, 2025. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Beryl Zakrzewski and one sister, Joan Heydorn. Survived by wife, Dorine; daughter Norine (Chris) Anderson and son Devin Zakrzewski; grandchildren Zachary and Rachel Anderson and JD Zakrzewski and Julia Adams; great grand-daughter Zaya Adams. Joe was born in Buffalo, NY, finished high school in Phoenix, AZ and proudly served for 3 years in the US Navy aboard the USS Hornet. He returned to NY following his military service and married Dorine, his wife of 66 years. Together they raised two children, Norine and Devin. Joe worked in manufacturing for GTE-Sylvania and his job relocated the family several times; first to Smithfield, NC, then to El Paso, TX where he was a television plant manager in Juarez, Mexico. Joe retired from his career with Sylvania in Winchester, KY. Joe was a dedicated employee and hard worker and never missed a day of work. Joe's last residence was in Minnesota for the past 21 years. Everywhere they went, Joe and Dorine made new friends. Joe's hobbies included golfing, fishing, wood-working, and any miscellaneous house projects. Joe served his churches through the years with his talents of project management and building skills on the property commissions. He was very warm and kind, had a great sense of humor. and loved to host and entertain family and friends. He was most proud of his 4 grandchildren and made a point to visit and participate as much as possible in their lives. Joe will be remembered for his kindness and hospitality. Memorial service 11 AM Friday, June 20th with visitation immediately prior from 10-11 AM at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church, 20165 Heath Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044.
