Joseph F. Zebniak Jr.

Joseph F. Zebniak, Jr, age 73, a resident of Ayer and formerly of Dracut, MA, passed away peacefully at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Michelle B. (Ogiba) Zebniak with whom he enjoyed almost 35 years of marriage.
He was born in Chelsea, MA, on October 10, 1952, and was the son of the late Joseph F. Zebniak, Sr, and Josephine (Janiak) Zebniak.
Joseph grew up in Chelsea, MA and was educated in the Chelsea school system. He worked for Cabot Corporation in Boston and Billerica for 43 years until he retired in December of 2021. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and lately with his granddaughter Olive, who was the light of his life. Joe enjoyed many trips with his family to Aruba, Universal Orlando Studios, Disney World and Las Vegas, Nevada. Joe was an avid Red Sox fan and followed them faithfully every summer.
In addition to his loving wife, Joe is survived by his daughter Jennifer Yousif and her husband Joshua and granddaughter Olive of Plainville, MA, and son Alec, of Merrimack, NH. He is survived by his sister Patricia Daley of Saugus, MA, his brother Paul and his wife Jo-Ann Zebniak of Naples, FL and brother Stephen Zebniak of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Michael and Kathy Ogiba of Hudson, NH, Joan and Tom Pennace of Seabrook, NH, Debbie and Tom Hartnett of Westford, MA and Lisa and Greg DeNeill of Merrimack, NH. He will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his furry companion Jake.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10 am St. Mary Magdalen, Tyngsboro. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford.
