Josephine Baehr, 79, of Disputanta passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born April 29, 1942 in Nottingham, England to the late John and Pearl Williamson. Mrs. Baehr has lived in the United States since 1965 when she left England to become an English Nanny in California, then lived in Pennsylvania and finally moving to Virginia. She also worked in a nursing home and lastly helped her daughter with her cleaning business. Among her favorite things to do, she loved to travel to new places, gardening, reading and spending time with her girls and her five grandsons. Everywhere she went she was loved by everyone. Known for her bubbly personality, she’d greet you with kindness and a big smile. Above all she loved animals, stray dogs would find their way to her house, and she’d take care of them. She also loved her siblings and enjoyed annual visits to OBX with her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Frederick Baehr; daughter, Valerie Kane (Tim); grandsons, Freddy, Daniel and Chris; daughter, Jane Baehr; grandsons, Nicholas and Joey; one sister, Valeri Innoscent; a brother, John Williamson; and dear to her heart, Kimberly Narol. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com .
