Josephine Bonanno

Josephine Bonanno, 93, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was born on March 31, 1932, in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose faith and love for her family guided her throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the deep care she gave to those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband James; her children, Janet Newsome and husband William, Paul Mazza and wife Carolyn, Susan Fusco and husband Mario, and Steven Mazza and wife Barbara; her stepchildren David Bonanno, Jay Bonanno, Elizabeth Potts and Marie Therese Murphy.

She was the proud grandmother of Erica Tavares, Jillian Soriano, Abigale Stolowski, Joseph Fusco, Michael Fusco, Jake Mazza, Kyle Mazza and Maxx Mazza, and great-grandmother to William Tavares, Madeline Tavares, Jack Soriano, Tessa Soriano, Jaxon Fusco and Giovanni Fusco.

A memorial service will be held on April 9th at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 11300 N. 64th Street, Scottsdale, Arizona. Josephine's final resting place will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephine's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Blessed Sacrament Church.

May she rest in the peace of Christ and in the loving arms of the Lord.
