She was also instrumental in Community outreach to include servicing Franklin Elementary School, the homeless shelter, Goodwill and other people in the community. Although Mrs. Josephine's main career choice was raising her own 11 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, children of the neighborhood, nieces and nephews, she worked outside of her home many years ago at Applecreek Hospital and in a management position at Lawsons . Josephine loved people and her passion was helping people in need no matter who they were and what they needed. If it was within her means, she helped everyone she could. Throughout her life she offered her home to many children who needed a place to stay until they were able to get on their feet, not only do her natural children call her mom, but she was also lovingly referred to by many others as Moma Brown, Mrs. Josephine and Mrs. Brown. Josephine will be truly missed by all that loved her and all that she loved. Calling hours will be at Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 5 – 8.
