Josephine Frazier, 74 of Bluffton, SC, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Green Frazier, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her residence in Bluffton.

A Celebration of Life Service: 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at First Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 10 Robertson St., Bluffton, SC 29910.

Josephine Frazier was born on July 6, 1951, to the late Joseph and Dorothy Frazier.

Josephine was a big presence and a huge staple in our community. She was known for her love for God and laugh accompanied with her high pitch voice that brought a smile to all, especially the children. Her house was like a revolving door to anyone, certainly the kids. Many knew her as Mama Joe, Auntie and Phine.

Josephine was educated in the public school system of Beaufort County and graduated from M.C. Riley High School in 1969. She held sales positions at Juicy, Island T-Shirt and other retail establishments. And most notably, Josephine dedicated over 20 years of her career at Melrose where she was a payroll and accounts payable professional.

Family was Josephine's heart and soul. She fed them and gave them all love. First Zion was her life. She loved the church and all that presided in the church.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, Tiffany Frazier of Bluffton, SC; her adopted children: Lexie (Devin) Watson of Spartanburg, SC, and Bronx and Brooklyn Bernier of Bluffton, SC; her sister, Elizabeth Frazier of Bluffton, SC; her brothers, Michael (Paula) Frazier of Charleston, SC, and Vernal (Shelly) Frazier of Bluffton, SC. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Iris Frazier and Joseph Frazier Jr. She also leaves her nieces: Sherrell (Sylvester) Brown of Greensboro, NC, Tieshia Frazier and Kiki Ford of Bluffton, SC; and Tara (John) Simpson of Charleston, SC; her nephews: Johnathan Frazier of Bluffton, SC, John Brown Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Michael O. Frazier of Charleston, SC. Her grandchildren include Josiah Hazel and Malchi Watson. She also helped raise her special children: Katryce and Kieth Jackson, and Derek Velasquez. She leaves her great-nieces: Sierra, Tamara, and Nyema; her great-nephews: Kailif, Malachi, and Jayden; and her great-great-nephew, Joseph "JJ." She also leaves her goddaughter, Lisa Edwards; special cousins: Carrie (Oliver) Brown, Margaret Frazier, and Theodore Frazier; and a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Please Keep the Frazier Family in your prayers as they prepare to celebrate the life of their beloved Josephine.
