Josephine was born on July 13, 1929, to Charles and Irene Williams in New Rochelle, NY. Josephine graduated from Albert Leonard High School. In 1971 she married Robert John Lawson. Josephine and Robert went on to have 3 children. Josephine worked for the NYS department of Environmental Conservation and retired in 1996.
Josephine is survived by her children Patricia Lawson, Cathleen (Garrett) Lockwood, Steven McBride and her four grandchildren, Steven Jr., Julia, Ryan, and Evan. She was predeceased by her husband Robert John Lawson, her parents Charles and Irene, and siblings Marie Preston and Lillian Williams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 11, 2023, at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY 10801 between the hours of 4:00 – 8:00PM.
A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday May 12, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY 10801 at 10:30 AM.
