Josephine Mary (Kozlowski) Lynch died peacefully at her daughter's home in Concord with family by her side on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Lynch. She was born in Salem in 1927 to Polish immigrants Joseph Kozlowski and Victoria (Korzienewski) Kozlowski. Best known as "Jo", she graduated from Salem High School in 1945. Josephine and her husband John Joseph Lynch lovingly raised their six children together. Josephine's natural instincts to help anyone in need allowed her to brighten many lives and to make friends with great ease. She was a gifted singer and performed live on radio shows and at weddings and other events. Her career started at Sylvania followed by Shetland Properties, nursery school teaching, and private caretaking. She delighted in learning about nutrition and natural remedies while also enjoying antiquing, reading, puzzle-making, and good old-fashioned fun. Josephine left this world a better place and knew how very much she was loved. She is survived by her children Michael J. of Salem, Debra and husband John Lojko of Salem, Timothy A. and wife Karen Lynch of Saugus, Mary Beth and husband Jeffrey Doyle of Concord, Donna and husband Bob Goulart of Weston, and Sean M. and wife Lena Lynch of Stockholm, Sweden; her 14 grandchildren: Scott Lojko, Melissa Pimentel, Derek Lojko, Meagan Lynch, Nicole Lynch, Paul Lynch, Mary Jo Germanos, Pauline Germanos, Jonathan Germanos, James Goulart, Drew Goulart, John Goulart, Joel Lynch and Aaron Lynch; her 5 great grandchildren Camron, Layla, Daisy, Kaylee and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John, Walter and Francis Kozlowski and her beloved sister Helen Shanahan. FUNERAL MASS Monday. November 23, 2015 at 10:00 am St. John the Baptist Church 28 St. Peter Street Salem, MA 01970 Burial will be private. Beth, Of all your family I knew you the best. I'm so very sorry to hear you lost your mom. Thank you Beth for accepting me and being a genuine Aunt to Eric Jackson Lynch. He passed suddenly at age 18. You would have loved the young man he was. Beth, may God bless you and I'm always here for you.

Mrs. Lynch was a favorite neighborhood Mom. She always had a smile and a kind word - and I loved to make her laugh. She had a wonderful laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with her children at this difficult time. I find comfort that she is with her John again.
