Josephine "Jo" Madden, 64, of Yorktown, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 2, 1961, in New York to Francis and Salvatore Centonze.

Josephine grew up in New York and spent much of her life in Lindenhurst, New York, before moving to Yorktown, Virginia, where she built a warm and welcoming home. She dedicated her career to Verizon, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walter Madden; three daughters, Monica Allman, April Bagley, and Stephanie Runkel; her brothers, Salvatore and Steven Centonze; and her seven cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Salvatore Centonze.

Josephine will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the way she cared deeply for those around her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, always putting her family first and creating lasting memories with everyone she loved.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
