Josephine (Danilowicz) Pekala, 84, of Clymer, passed away on Tuesday, October 31 st, 2023, in Indiana.
Born February 5, 1939 in White Station, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Dora (Lombardi)
Danilowicz. She was the wife of the late Paul P. Pekala Jr. who died August 24, 2020. They married June
25, 1960.
She graduated Saltsburg High School and worked with her husband at Paul's Used Cars in Clymer for 54
years.
Josephine enjoyed going to camp in Potter County, hunting, and fishing. She liked to travel, she and Paul
traveled throughout most of the lower 48 states seeing much of the natural beauty of the U.S.
She is survived by her children: Paul P. Pekala III, of Clymer; Leticia Pekala, of South Carolina; and
Rhonda Koches (Steve), of Clymer. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Alicia Stookey (Matt);
and Steven Koches; as well as her great grandchildren: Elijah and Brooklyn Stookey. She is also survived
by her brother: Stanley Danilowicz, Jr of Clarksburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Felicia Barankovich.
Service arrangements are private and handled through the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home &
Crematory of Clymer.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul, at Church of the Resurrection Cemetery, Clymer.
