Josephine Petrik, age 87, of Torreon, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her beloved husband.
Born on April 22, 1938, in Torreon, New Mexico, Josephine lived a life rooted in faith, service, and compassion. In her early years, she dedicated herself to a spiritual calling and served as a nun for six years, touching many lives through her devotion and kindness.
After discerning a new path, Josephine met the love of her life, William Petrik, and together they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage. Their partnership was a testament to deep love, faith, and friendship, and they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and care.
Professionally, Josephine was a respected real estate agent for the Army Corps of Engineers, where she was known for her integrity, diligence, and genuine care for the people she served. Her colleagues admired her professionalism and her unwavering commitment to excellence.
Josephine will be remembered for her generous heart, her bright spirit, and her deep faith. She found joy in helping others, in her church community, and in spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband, William Petrik, siblings, and a host of friends and loved ones who will carry her memory forward.
A rosary will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 2:00pm at Daniel’s Funeral Home 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 8:30am at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Josephine’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, and service. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
