Josephine "Josie" Sanner (Eberly), 81, passed away on March 13, 2025, in Blue Hill, Nebraska. She was born on March 19, 1943, in Brighton, Colorado.
Josie is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Haussler of Lawrence, Nebraska; her son, Mark (Cheryl) Sanner of Wamego, Kansas; her grandchildren, Mina (Ben) Williams, Caitlyn Sanner, Matthew (Katelyn) Sanner and Creighton Sanner. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Josie's last remaining sibling, Judy Lairmore of Sabetha, KS, joined Josie on March 28. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Sanner, her parents, and nine siblings.
Josie had a passion for crafting and particularly enjoyed creating silk floral arrangements and wreaths. She found joy in playing BINGO, spent many hours putting together jigsaw puzzles and painting.
A celebration of Josie's life will be held on April 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sabetha Cemetery, located on S. Old U.S. Hwy 75 in Sabetha, Kansas. Following the brief service at the cemetery, family and friends are invited to gather for lunch at the Community Center in Fairview. All are welcome to attend. Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
