Josh Brinkerhoff Obituary

Josh Brinkerhoff

ORANGEVILLE - In Loving Memory of Joshua Scott Brinkerhoff who passed away September 19, 2025, at the age of 40.

He was born October 23, 1984 in Price, Utah to Scott and Lisa White Brinkerhoff.

Josh married the love of his life, Lynsey Wood, on January 10, 2009 in Castle Dale, Utah.

From his ever-loving wife:

"To know this man was to love him. No one will ever be able to replace the man he was. I loved him with all of my heart. He was the best husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend anyone could ask for.
Josh, I can't believe you're gone. It's just not real. I hope you watch over us and look down from Heaven. We love you and miss you dearly. I am lost without my best friend."

A Life Remembered:

He was a devoted and loving father. He affectionately called his daughter Jaynee his "little bear"-she was never told "no." One of his proudest accomplishments was passing down his wisdom and life skills to the next generation. His children will always remember him as a good man and an amazing father.

Jaylum shared: "He was a good father and did the job right."

Josh was the oldest of nine siblings, and he loved them fiercely. He was the steady hand and strong heart of their family-the one everyone leaned on. He was their rock. He gave the best hugs and had the biggest contagious smile.

Josh was a man devoted to family and the land. His favorite things in life all centered around his family. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and walking in the desert. His passion and respect for the land was a true inspiration to everyone who knew him. Everything he did and loved revolved around the people he cared about most.

Josh had an incredible work ethic and was highly skilled, especially in welding, fabricating, and mechanics. He could easily be described as a master of all trades.

He always said: "Family is like a circle. We always circle back to each other."

Josh is survived by his wife, Lynsey and their children, Jaylum David, Jaynee Lynn, Joshua Scott Jr. (Katelynn); grandson, Braxton of Huntington; mom, Lisa Brinkerhoff; siblings, John Brinkerhoff, Jennifer (Ray) Hollar, Jessica (Trevor) Whiting, Jackie Brinkerhoff, Janel (Jimmy) Snyder, Jamie (Dominic) Rondinelli, Jaylee (Blake) Bean, and Jessie Brinkerhoff; and 26 nieces and nephews.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Scott Brinkerhoff; and his beloved grandparents.

Funeral service, Friday, September 26, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Orangeville First Ward Chapel. Family will receive friends at the church Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Huntington City Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Huntington and Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Josh online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
