Ellyce Brinkerhoff Obituary

Ellyce Ann Brinkerhoff, age 72 of Clare, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 after a very brief illness at the MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. Ellyce was born the daughter of the late James Albert and Pauline (Marlett) Brinkerhoff on February 27, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant. Ellyce was a lifelong resident of Clare with the exception of the time she lived in Florida caring for her parents. She had served her Country in the U.S Army before being Honorably Medically Discharged. She loved the weekly game day with her family and taking care of her beloved kitty "Smokey".
Ellyce is survived by her sisters Lana Barber and Toni Brinkerhoff, both of Farwell; her nephews and niece Leryc Barber, Jeremy (Jean) Barber, Jason (Laurie) Barber and Brooke Doerr; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Her remains will be buried with her parents in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Because of Ellyce's love of animal's, memorial contributions are suggested to the Clare County Animal Shelter. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
