Josh "Opie" VanHunnick, 48 of Dover, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023. He was born June 14, 1975 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Donald and Shirley Miller VanHunnick. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joni VanHunnick and nephew, Jeremiah Boone.
Josh loved to hunt, bonfires, riding 4 wheelers and SXS's, going to Kansas City Chiefs games, but most of all spending time with his grandson, Carter. He had a heart big as the world. He loved everyone and was always there to help his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Zachary VanHunnick of Dover; MaKayla Williams and husband Steven of Dover; grandson, Carter Williams; siblings, Jim VanHunnick and Laurie of South Dakota, Cindy Goodyear and Stoney of Scottsville, John VanHunnick of Dover; best friend, Carl Osburn of Hot Springs, as well as several other family and friends.
His visitation will be 5-7pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Russellville Family Funeral. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
