Joshua lived life with curiosity, spontaneity, wonder and a thirst for exploration. Whether it was flying planes or hiking big mountains he was always exploring, expanding his knowledge and absorbing the world around him. This curiosity created valiant confidence. When he was 18, he bought a plane ticket to New York City, flew out alone, spent the day and flew back. Then he bought a ticket to Hawaii and spent the day dragging his luggage on Waikiki beach. His uncontainable wanderlust arose from a strong upbringing of travel, hiking, backpacking, and camping with his parents. As a child he endlessly explored google maps even discovering a mountain named after his granddad. He ventured throughout the country but mostly in the Northwest and Southwest desert. He learned how important it was to appreciate, respect, and love nature.

His curiosity was quite evident at a young age when he would take expensive electronic equipment apart leaving piles of screws, circuit boards, and plastic never to be put back together again - he just needed to know the what and why of everything.

Animals were drawn to him, sensing his love of them. He grew up around horses and learned how to help train, care for, and ride them. He immediately connected so strongly to this goofy dog at the shelter he battled to adopt him.

RIP and him became best buds. They shared many outdoor adventures with best friends Ethan and Sam.

In his 22 years he lived more than most his age. From world travels to Australia and New Zealand to his flying lessons in tiny Cessna airplanes over the sky's of Boise.

We are extremely proud to call him our son.
