I am so very sorry for the loss of a great son , brother and a friend. I have know Josh since he was 3 years old and one of the 3 musketeers and a best friend of my daughter Jennie. I am at a loss to describe the sadness I feel and want you to know I am here for you whenever you need me

Josh always cultured me. He introduced me to Good Charlotte and Green Day when I was younger and some classic movies when I was older. Even my friends who only met him for a short time talked about how kind and accepting he was. I miss you bud.

I am most saddened to learn of Josh's passing and wish to convey my condolences to his friends and family. I had the pleasure of working with Josh as my judicial intern while he attended law school here in Chicago, and we developed a good friendship. We enjoyed not only legal discussions but also about music, the arts, and life in general over the occasional dinner at Boni Vino's in the south Loop near his apartment. I particularly enjoy his award winning photograph "Made in a Chicago Hood" which is displayed in my chambers at The Daley Center. His passing is a shock and a loss to the world at large, and I will miss you, my friend. Judge Timothy P. Murphy

Baruch Dayan HaEmet. Our condolences to the Block Family. Josh was a wonderful young man full of goodwill that he was willing to spread. He was gifted and witty when talking about almost anything, including the Bears and White Sox. You should only know from simchas in the future.
