Joshua C. Brunelle

Joshua C. Brunelle, 37, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.

Josh was born on February 8, 1984, in Burlington, Vermont. He was the son of Steven and Valarie "Goldie" (McMahon) Brunelle.

Josh has worked at many different places as a carpenter and a painter. He learned many skills over the years that were second to none. Anyone that knew Josh would say he was a hard worker. There was not anything he couldn't accomplish.

Josh had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing with his father and enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He liked to work on his vehicles. If he didn't know how to fix something, he looked it up and learned how. When Josh spent time indoors, it was to watch Football and Baseball. Most of all, Josh's pride and joy was raising his son Isac. They were inseparable since the day Isac was born. He wanted to teach him everything he knew. He loved watching Isac play football. Isac describes his dad as a very kind, humble, and cool dude. His passion for building and fixing things has lit a passion for Isac as well. Josh was always very proud of his son.

Josh is survived by his parents, Steven and Valarie "Goldie" Brunelle, his son Isac Brunelle and his son's mother Katie LaBounty-Torres, his sister Nikki Hoague and her husband Aaron, his half-sister Stephanie O'Dorisio, his nephews Zachary, Tristan, Tré, Mason, Dedric and Izaiah, his longtime friend Katie Line, his maternal grandparent Ruth McMahon and several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother Derek Brunelle, paternal grandparents Frank and Pauline Kemp, and his maternal grandparent Richard McMahon.

A special thanks to the staff at ANew Place at Champlain Inn, all the Medical Staff, Doctors, and Nurses in the ICU at UVM Medical Center that provided care to Josh and support to our family.

A private service will be held for Josh at the convenience of his family.
