It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Joshua Christopher Caisse, who left us far too soon at the age of 39 on May 13th, 2025.
Born on July 16th, 1985, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Joshua was a beloved son, brother, husband, father and friend. He brought light and laughter to those around him with his generous spirit and kind heart.
Joshua was a proud graduate of Hesser College and went on to complete the police academy, fulfilling a longtime dream of serving and protecting his community. His dedication to making a difference in the lives of others was evident in all that he did.
In high school, Joshua was a passionate athlete with a love for both football and basketball. His competitive spirit, teamwork, and love for the game remained a big part of who he was throughout his life.
Joshua is survived by his loving wife, Tanya Caisse, and two beautiful daughters, Tianna Caisse and Layla Caisse, who were the center of his world and the greatest joys of his life. He is also survived by his mother, Ada Teresa Lozada, and his father, Christian Bardling, both of whom loved him deeply. Joshua leaves behind his brothers, George Crawford Caisse iii and Jacob Anthony Caisse, and his sisters, Jannessa Mary Caisse and Shelby Carmen de Luna. He will be remembered for his strong bond with his siblings and the love he carried for his family.
From the family:
Joshua was a light in our lives — brave, kind, and full of heart. His laughter, loyalty, and strength will remain with us forever. While we are heartbroken, we are also grateful for the time we had with him. His memory will live on in every life he touched. In honor of Joshua’s legacy, we ask you to carry forward his spirit of compassion, courage, and love.
