Joshua Daniel Guzman, 16, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 4, 2025. He was born on November 3, 2008, in Savannah, GA and moved to Waynesboro in 2023. Joshua was a trooper, and a very strong-willed young man, who endured tremendous difficulty throughout his short life due to epilepsy. One of things he enjoyed most was riding the tractor with his Papa. He attended Burke County High School and was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Joshua held a special love for his mother and his sister and will be remembered for his sweet, caring, loving soul by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronny Carter.

Surviving are his mother, Melissa Carter of Waynesboro; father, Geovanny Guzman of Miami, FL.; sister, Bailey Carter of Waynesboro; grandparents, Mark and Mary Dillon of Keysville, Ezna Aladin of Miami, Giovanni Guzman of Chicago, IL, and Tony Phillips of Blackshear, GA; great-grandparents, William and Augustine Scarboro of Pooler, GA and Leticia Fernandez of Miami; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 9, at Berean Baptist Church with the Reverend Terence McLaughlin, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 4:30pm at Westside Memorial Gardens in Bloomingdale, GA. Pallbearers will be Melvin Musgrove, Randall Carter, Bill Scarboro, Rylan Carter, Will Hickman, and Andrew Musgrove.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Berean Baptist Church, 2385 GA-88, Hepzibah, GA. 30815.
