Joshua Aaron Kersey, 42, of Lebanon passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by his close family and friends. Josh was born to Larry Kersey and Phyllis Coffman in Lebanon on November 10, 1980.
As a young child Josh moved to Tennessee and was raised by his mother and dad, Bill. He met his wife, Jessica, in 2015 at Lebanon. They married on July 24, 2022, surrounded by friends and family. Josh had 6 children, Kadin, Haven, Emma, Enoch, Emilee and Aaron. He worked hard to make sure they were cared for and felt loved every day and provided countless memories so they may never forget his love and care.
Josh wore many titles: husband, son, brother, cousin, friend, and, perhaps his most well-known and proud title- dad.
He is survived by his parents, his wife and children; his sisters, Laura and Sarah; brothers, Danny, Dustin, Bryan, and Steve; grandfather, Larry "Papa" Kersey; brother-in-law, Scot Lowery; loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; a best friend Melissa; his service dog Angel, and countless friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Bill Coffman; sister, Lelene Lowery; paternal grandmother, Gloria Kersey; maternal grandparents, Reba and Odell Ooten; and step-maternal grandparents, Howard and Shirley Coffman.
Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville handled the cremation. A celebration of Josh’s life will be held in the American Legion Hall, Lebanon, with a visitation Saturday April 29th from 2 p.m. - 4:20 p.m., with the celebration to follow.
Memorial contributions are suggested to his children care of Jessica Kersey at PNC bank or to Life’s Journey Recovery Center 522 Powell St. Lebanon, IN 46052 in honor of Joshua Kersey’s Sobriety.
