Joshua William Stern Jr., affectionately known as Joshie, was born on March 11, 2000, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and departed this world too soon on April 3, 2025, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. A cherished son, devoted brother, caring grandson, and a beloved friend, Joshua our gentle giant was a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Raised in a loving household, he thrived under the nurturing eyes of his parents, Joshua and Antoinette. As the middle sibling, he created lasting bonds with his brother and sister - Jackie, Santo (Nick), and Daniela (Hayden)—sharing countless joyful memories and laughter. His family also included his adoring grandparents, Tom and Diane Hosking and Salvatore and Antonia Lentini. Dear nephew of Joe (Andrea), Jamie, Jason (Nicole), Jodi (Jason), Jeremy, Jackie, Brian, Annalisa (Doug), Linda (RJ) and Cindy. He will also be missed by many cousins who meant so much to him especially Johnny, Domenico, Anthony and Luke. Joshua joins in Heaven his cousin Hope.
A graduate of Greenfield High School, Joshua exemplified a spirit full of enthusiasm and an unyielding zest for life. He was a fun and easy-going individual, known for his generosity and kindness. His presence resonated in homes, bringing warmth and joy, and his engaging conversations and thoughtful text messages will be sorely missed by all. Joshua’s profound love for sports, particularly for Wisconsin teams, fueled many exhilarating outings to Buck's games and wrestling matches with his family, where the thrill of competition matched only by the camaraderie of family and friends. On the basketball and volleyball court, he displayed both talent and passion, touching the lives of young athletes as a high school volleyball coach, a role that remained one of his proudest accomplishments.
Among his numerous interests, Joshua also loved his collection of Nike shoes, was always ready for a good game of beer pong and his family was always his greatest joy. He spent countless hours cherishing the moments shared with them while enjoying the simplicity and happiness of being surrounded by love.
A loving and loyal companion, Joshua shared his life not only with his family but also with his beloved dog, Tito, whose playful spirit mirrored his own.
