Joshua Lawrence Williams

Joshua Lawrence Williams, beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on September 27, 2004, Josh was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him. He graduated from Dutchtown High School and pursued a career as a technician in the audiovisual industry, where his creativity and work ethic shone brightly. Josh, or ‘Boulder Shoulders’, a nickname kindly bestowed by his coworkers, had a passion for working out, dedicating countless hours to the gym. Above all, Josh loved spending time with his friends and family, always bringing a dependable and humorous spirit to any gathering. Known for his warmth and kindness, Josh had a zest for life that was evident in his love for music and animals. While his cooking skills were still a work in progress, he certainly loved eating, famously devouring 12 tacos in a single sitting, though cheeseburgers held a special place in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Molly and Anthony Golic, Grace and Robert E. Williams, Sr., Mary and George Kozak, Walter and Linda Silmon, Dot Silmon; and his beloved yellow lab, Bella.

He is survived by his parents, Kimberly and Kyle Williams; brother, Jake Williams; grandparents, Patricia L. Williams, Robert E. Williams, Jr., Wayne and George-Ann Silmon; aunts Sharon, Renee, Meredith, and Shelly; uncles John, and Jeff; and numerous treasured cousins.

The family would like to invite all who knew and loved Josh to join them as we commemorate his life. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 8:30 AM until funeral services at 10:30 AM. Graveside services will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital in Josh’s name.
