Joshua Williams, a cherished member of the Centralia community, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the age of 26. Joshua was born in Centralia, Illinois, on January 21, 1999, and he continued to call Centralia his home throughout his life.
Joshua is survived by his loving grandparents, Billy E. Williams of Sandoval and Mary J. Williams of Centralia, his devoted mother Mary J. Williams of Centralia, and his beloved brother, Ryan J. Williams of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Jane Williams, and his great-grandparents, Delores and John Groff, as well as various aunts and uncles who had been part of his loving family.
Joshua was known for his kind heart and his passion for helping others. His dedication was evident in his active involvement with the City Hope Church community, where he was a familiar and friendly presence. He had a genuine enthusiasm for trains and a deep love for football, both of which brought great joy to his life.
Joshua's family would like to express their gratitude for the warm support received from all those who knew him. Arrangements are being handled by Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home Inc.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the City Hope Church in Centralia with Pastor Seth Baltzell officiating.
