Joshua Allen Wood, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on July 7th, 2024 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on January 23rd, 1991 in Fort Hood Texas to his loving parents Rhonda Kay Krull and Daniel Wood.
Joshua leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His passing has left an indelible void in the hearts of his devoted wife Elizabeth and their precious children Andrea and Aiden. Joshua's memory will also be treasured by his mother Rhonda Kay Krull and father Daniel Wood.
During his time on this earth, Joshua served with honor in the United States Army where he demonstrated unwavering bravery and dedication to protecting our country. He was a true patriot who selflessly put himself at risk for the greater good of others.
Beyond his military service, Joshua had an infectious sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days. His laughter was contagious; it brought joy to all those around him. He had an innate ability to uplift spirits with just a smile or a kind word.
But perhaps what defined Joshua most was his caring nature. He had an unparalleled capacity for empathy and always went out of his way to help anyone in need. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering practical assistance, he never hesitated to extend kindness wherever he could.
In addition to being a dedicated family man and soldier, Joshua felt strongly about giving back to causes close to his heart - particularly the fight against cancer through supporting organizations like the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of Joshua's life will take place at Perches Funeral Home on July 14th at 5 pm where friends and loved ones can gather together one last time to honor him as they share memories that exemplify how deeply he touched their lives.
In lieu of flowers during this difficult time for the family as they mourn their loss deeply, donations may be made directly towards American Cancer Society as per request from them. This is something very important for them so please consider contributing if you are able.
The impact that Joshua made during his lifetime cannot be overstated; he leaves behind countless individuals whose lives have been enriched by knowing him.
May we find solace in remembering all the beautiful moments shared with such an extraordinary soul.
Rest In Peace dear Josh! Your light will continue shining brightly within each person whose life you've touched forevermore.
